PUBLIC HEALTH GOAL INITIATION WEBINAR: The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is hosting a webinar on November 15, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (PST), to provide the public with the opportunity to hear and ask questions about the toxicological and epidemiological data for evaluating the health risks of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) in drinking water. PUBLIC HEALTH GOAL INITIATION NOTICE AND DATA CALL-IN: At the request of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), OEHHA is initiation the development of public health goals (PHGs) for PFOA and PFOS in drinking water.

Announcement of Availability of a Second Public Review Draft Technical Support Document for Proposed Public Health Goals for Trihalomethanes in Drinking Water
A Public Health Goal (PHG) is the level of a drinking water contaminant at which adverse health effects are not expected to occur from a lifetime of exposure. The technical support document presents the scientific information available on the toxicity for four trihalomethanes (THMs) and the calculation of the proposed PHGs.
