Notice of Extension of the Public Comment Period for the Public Review Draft of “Health Effects Assessment: Potential Neurobehavioral Effects of Synthetic Food Dyes in Children”
The notice initiated a 45-day public comment period, which was originally scheduled to close on October 13, 2020. However, OEHHA has received a request for an extension of the comment period to allow stakeholders enough time to complete a comprehensive review and response to the report’s conclusions and recommendations. OEHHA hereby extends the comment period on this risk assessment by 30 days to Thursday, November 12, 2020.

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is adopting new Reference Exposure Levels (RELs) for Toluene for use in the Air Toxics Hot Spots Program. RELs are airborne concentrations of a chemical that are not anticipated to result in adverse noncancer health effects for specified exposure durations in the general population, including sensitive subpopulations.
